GRAND RAPIDS, MI., March 15, 2017 – The rosters are announced today for the ADDIX Basketball Champions All-Star Games at Davenport University on Wednesday, March 29. Game Director Steve Project and his committee compiled both sets of rosters for the boys and girls. The games are presented by sponsors D & W and Family Fare and ESPN 96.1 FM.

Butchy Mousseau was a collegiate hockey official who fell and hit his head during the WCHA Final Five pregame warm ups at Van Andel Arena two weeks ago. He was put into a medically induced coma, and unfortunately he passed away last week. The WMOA board asks you to strongly consider helping our fellow brother’s family out, as they try to cope with the tragic loss of Butchy.

At the annual WMOA banquet last night, Brad Brunet presented the Wes Leonard Heart Team with a check for over $4,000, which will help them purchase several AED’s to be placed in area schools. The money was raised over the past year through the extreme generosity of the WMOA membership. To all who contributed to this incredible and worthy cause, thank you!!!!

An unfortunate act of violence took the life of one of our fellow Michigan referees, you can read about it here.
John Bieniewicz age 44 died at a Detroit Hospital on Tuesday, July 1. He was a registered soccer referee and was president of the Tri-County Soccer Referee Association. He leaves behind his wife and two sons.
The West Michigan Officials Association’s thoughts and prayers go out to John’s family and friends during this very difficult time.
